What is There to See?
Moco isn’t your traditional museum. It’s modern, bold, and social-media-ready. Here’s what you’ll find:
- Banksy Collection: An entire section devoted to the elusive street artist includes famous works like “Girl with Balloon”, “Laugh Now”, and “Flower Thrower.” These pieces are politically charged, ironic, and visually iconic.
- Pop Art & Icons: Works by Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, and Jean-Michel Basquiat sit alongside other disruptors of the 20th century. The blend of pop, protest, and power is thrilling.
- Immersive Rooms: Moco is famous for its interactive installations — mirrors, projections, and color-saturated rooms where you become part of the art. Don’t miss the Diamond Matrix Room or digital infinity mirrors.
- Contemporary Artists: From Kaws to Yayoi Kusama, this section bridges playful design and deeper commentary. It’s contemporary art with an edge — colorful but thought-provoking.
- NFT & Digital Art: One of the few places where blockchain-based art is given gallery space. You’ll see NFT works on high-res displays, along with video art and AR-enhanced installations.

Moco Concept

Moco isn’t just a museum — it’s a movement.
Its mission is to make contemporary art accessible to a broader audience. It focuses on modern disruptors who challenge politics, power, consumerism, and conformity — using color, symbols, and humor to do it.
Each Moco space (Amsterdam, Barcelona, and beyond) is carefully curated to mix high-impact visuals with deeper messages, bridging the gap between street and studio, gallery and digital, young and old.
The vibe is relaxed, creative, and inclusive — no art degree required.
A Short History of Moco Museum
The Moco Museum brand (short for Modern Contemporary) was born in Amsterdam in 2016, founded by art lovers Lionel and Kim Logchies, who aimed to make art more inclusive, bold, and fun.
The Barcelona location opened in 2021, taking over the Palau Cervelló, a 16th-century palace once home to nobility. The contrast between historic architecture and rebellious modern art is what makes this space so special.

Since its opening, Moco Barcelona has become one of the city’s trendiest art attractions, especially among young visitors, creatives, and design lovers.
